To help ease some people\u2019s concerns, the government are offering multiple schemes and financial help for households. Everyone is entitled to some of these schemes and if you claim certain benefits or tax credits, you may be eligible for extra payments and help with your cost of living. Below is a list of the different payments and schemes you may be entitled to.<\/p>\n<table class=\"tg\" style=\"border-collapse: collapse; border-spacing: 0;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"font-size: 16px; padding: 10px 5px; overflow: hidden; word-break: normal; background-color: #ffffff; color: #000000; vertical-align: middle; border: 1px solid white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif !important; text-align: center;\" colspan=\"2\">\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #d72329;\">HOUSEHOLD COSTS<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7878\" title=\"A receipt coming out of a house\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mrlender.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Household-Costs.png\" alt=\"A receipt coming out of a house\" width=\"221\" height=\"280\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cost of living payment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Households on means tested benefits, including Universal Credit, Pension Credit and Tax Credits, will receive a payment of \u00a3650 this year, paid automatically in two instalments.\u00a0The first payment of \u00a3326 was made in the summer. The second payment of \u00a3324 will be made by DWP to eligible customers between 8<sup>th<\/sup> and 23<sup>rd<\/sup> of November, and by HMRC between 23<sup>rd<\/sup> and 30<sup>th<\/sup> of November (to customers receiving tax credits only and no other eligible DWP benefits). This\u00a0is in addition to the \u00a3400 discount on\u00a0<span style=\"color: #d72329;\"><a style=\"color: #d72329;\" href=\"https:\/\/helpforhouseholds.campaign.gov.uk\/help-with-your-bills\/\">energy bills<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Disability Cost of living payment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From 20<sup>th<\/sup> September 6 million people who are paid certain disability benefits will receive an automatic one-off \u00a3150 payment. The payment will help disabled people with the rising Cost of Living, acknowledging the higher disability-related costs they often face, such as care and mobility needs. For most people the rebate is automatic, however if you don\u2019t pay your Council Tax by direct debit then get in touch with your Council.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Household support fund<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a31.5\u00a0billion\u00a0has been made\u00a0available to support the most vulnerable to cover their essential daily costs, like energy bills. Recipients include pensioners and families with children. Local authorities can also issue food vouchers to families during the school holidays.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Budgeting loans<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You may be eligible for a Budgeting Loan if you\u2019ve been on certain benefits for 6 months. This can be used for household items, rent in advance, and travelling costs.
